Why is the government protecting the banks, bailing them out and allowing them to harass and mistreat people? Banks get compensated for the shortages, so it is more profitable for the bank to foreclose- they get the losses covered by the government- our tax money. The banks got money- too big to fail, we the people paid for it, but no one helped us. BOA is horrible, they have lost truckloads of documents we provided, call non-stop and if I answer, they read me a script! Same with Provident bank. Most representatives are rude and unprofessional, they are not interested in working with anyone.
The modification program is a joke and the government is pretending that everything is fine while people are loosing homes to foreclosure. There is a real estate crisis, twisting the numbers and pretending that the worse is over insults people’s intelligence. BOA knows that no one will stop them so the just play the modification game, harass people for a while and then throw them on the street.
Is anyone out there that would look out for the little guy? I am a little guy but I could also use some help, where is my bailout?

I had the same problem, BOA loan modification, went through all the same hassles, but after being patient for TWO YEARS they came through and offered to reduce our mortgage from 7% to 4% for the life of the loan and bring account current. I was skeptical too, but it eventually paid off!
Loan modifications are a smoke screen. There is very little help if any for those who need it. If you have perfect credit you can get help. That way the banks BOA especially, can show the govt they are helping people. When in fact they are doing everything possible to get rid of defaults on their books. They are putting homeowners into deals and then making them so impossible to complete that they foreclose. Boom one more default off the books. They are vicious and do not care about humanity. Only the bottom line. There are so many problems in our govt that they don’t have time to dig into what BOA is doing. By the time they come to the rescue most people will be out on the street. The few left hanging on will benefit from our struggles. The bottom line is there isn’t any help for those who need it. The banks are evil and only care about money. THEIRS! Any program or deal is constructed to fail. They will either make it impossible to complete or throw monkey wrenches in the mix and make everything so confusing and complicated that you are just thrown into foreclosure. Everyone needs a lawyer but they know that if you can’t pay your mortgage you can’t afford a lawyer. Everywhere you go for legal help it’s 2500 added to your debt. Lawyers are getting rich off of all this mayhem too. Law firms are calling like crazy to get you to modify your home through them. They are all full of compassion and concern and then tell you they can help you for a large chunk of change. The American people are becoming depressed and losing hope. No jobs, no money, families are breaking apart, alcoholism and drug use is on the rise, govt failure everywhere you turn it’s negative and depressing. The rich are getting richer and sleeping in beautiful homes and the hard working Americans are starving and being thrown out on the streets. Politicians need to all be voted out and the common working Americans need to be voted in. We all need to stop voting for the party and vote for the roll up your sleeves American with morals and values. Someone who remembers that they are working for us. Not their image and where they can go. Help your neighbor help the food banks and pray.
