The Walmart store,in Lexington,Nebraska, used to be well respected,by customers, and workers, alike, for the way the treated their customers, and fellow employees alike, with respect. This has all changed, since the new manager came in.The whole attitude of the store, towards customers, and employees, has changed for the worst. To me,the new attitude, all reflects on Management,(store manager) and corporate head quarters together.Since the new manager took over, the respect for customers, and fellow employees(in general),has been disrespectful, rude.
The employees,have all said,the same thing,when talked to,and that is:”NO one,can trust management,or other employee,as all have adopted,an attitude,of mistrust,and “screwing” one another”.It is funny,how the old manager,instilled a attitude of trust and respect,toward all employees,and customers,at all times,and it has taken less than one year,for this new manager,to tear all that down.The store,has lost the repect,of most of the town,and that is a shame.The old management team,I feel,worked hard,to get the respect,and keep the respect,of the town.
I do not personally know, the old manager,or the new one, but, I have followed this Walmart store, since its conseption, and watched it grow, and have heard all the bad press, and rumors, about Walmart, and its relations, with other town businesses, employees, and customers, but over the years have felt, this Walmart store, was one that broke the mold, and was totally different, than the rumors, about other Walmarts. It is a shame, that one change of management(corp and store manager),can turn all that around. But the one rule that has always been consistant at Walmart..# If you want to change anything,(policy or anything),at Walmart, don’t try and reason with them,They only react when they are hut in the wallet” I only hope, the powers that be,will take notice, before its to late.
We who like our Walmart store, want the relationships to go back to the way it used to be…
Here is another complaint I had about Walmart online…
I ordered from Walmart online. I wanted to pick up the items at the store instead of having them shipped to my home. I had done this before without any difficulty. This time, the Walmart web site told me I’d be picking up the items at a location that was 20 miles away. (The web site said it was only a few miles.) I tried to change the pickup location but the one that was nearest to me was not one of the options! Yes, that nearest store is still open and it is a “ship to store” pickup location. I had to resort to having it shipped to my residence.
I received no support either on line nor by telephone before resorting to having it shipped directly to the residence. I thought I should call this problem to Walmart’s attention. Accordingly, I resorted to snail mail That was several weeks ago and I have yet to receive a reply.
