A few days ago I found out that I had been paying $10 for the last four months for “Blockbuster@home – disc”. That is a $40 dollar rip-off. I called and they removed the service, which I never requested or used! But would not give me a refund on the $40.
I wrote some Head Office a nasty email and yesterday “Angie” from the Dispute Resolution Team called me to “explain and make sure you understand.” Previously they had a charge of $10 monthly for something they call HD Platinum and they just changed the name to “Blockbuster@home -disc.”
WHAT? No notification. A $120 yearly rip-off! How many millions of Dish customers are also experiencing this crime BUT ARE UNAWARE OF IT. I just stumbled on it because I decided to review what I was paying over $80 monthly for.
Angilina Romero immediately credited my account for the $40. “I have no problem with that.” Then why did “Carl” the first person I talked to at Dish about this refuse to make that adjustment! When I tried to talk with old “Angie” re this form of bait and switch. She just wanted to get off the phone.
Maybe she knew that I will be considering (after 10 years) switching to DIRECT TV!
