On April 18th, 2012 at 5:38pm, i wentb thogugh the drive thru and order my dinner,(Chicken, cranberry, apple salad). Upon arrival at 5:45 for my night job, I opened the the container and discovered that the edges of it felt gritty and upon furture inspection could see that the edges of the lid had dried on “gunk” all around it.I attempted to contact the restaurant and after 12 times trying (and two hours later), someone finally answered.
After explaining to the assistant manager of the issue, she had me speak to the manager on duty. He had me expalin several times what the issue was and finnally stated,”I”ll take your word for it and exactly what do you want me to do about it?” (his tone was very demeaning)I told him all I want is my money back and I will bring in the salad and show him after I get off work at 8:30pm.
When I arreived at the store the manager was gone but had given specific instructions for the assistant manager to have me provide proof that the lid was dirty before she was to refund my money. The assistant tried to say that it was from the “chicken steam” when they put the chicken in and even showed it to another employee who stated “that looks like dried on burger grease” (the assistant gave her a dirty look).
The asistant gave me my money but never even aplogizsed for the issue. This is not the first time that this management team has treated a customer this way, I’ve observed this before when an order gets messed up.
