one show worse than the other…unless the show is for babies you can’t let kids watch TV…. I have a 10 year old and 5 year old… little one used to watch shows that was appropriate for him, but then they will start showing other garbage (this the only thing I can call it) and I have to fight with my kids so they would not watch this channel… the Disney people should be ashamed of themselves to send this kind of messages to the kids… Zack and Cody – let’s abuse mom… iCarly – it is better to be an idiot than go to college… and this is just a few there are much too much more of this kind of garbage… my 10 year old now thinks it is cool to burp like an idiot as loud as possible…

im not saying ur idiots bcuz u watch dumb tv but saying someone is a moron from watching disney isnt tru nd u kno it. see i right lk tht 2 and i was in advanced classes at school. nd i personally think watching garbage is a good lesson. it shows u how not to act. besides would u watch a show if the kids were goody 2 shoes, who are perfect all the time? by that logic NCIS wouldnt b so popular because of course people arent perfect. just because you dont like to see something portrayed on tv because you dont like seeing hman imperfection? nd ppl like different kinds of comedy doesnt mean its garbage.
I’m a lone parent to a 10 year old girl, i also work with kids and have done for 20 years, and having sat and watched the shows on Disney channel with my daughter i’ve got to say they are a terrible influence, and thats putting it mildly, they show cocky, sarcastic, arrogant kids living their lives seemingly without the aid or influence of parents, and when adults are involved they are portrayed as bumbling incompitants , the interaction between the child characters is frequently unpleasant, with verbal put downs and taunting being shown as humorous. in my work i have found that children’s behavior and attitudes to each other and parents/ adults has got progressively worse over the last few years and mirrors the behaviour and attitudes shown on Disney and nickleodion.
as parents we need to be limiting and censoring our children’s exposure to these shows and most importantly enforcing the fact that life is not a comedy show and the behaviour ect . depicted is in no way acceptable in real life, in an ideal world these programmes would not exist, unfortunately they do, so its up to us as parents to educate our kids on what is, and more importantly ,what is not acceptable behaviour.
