We purchased the Samsung washer and dryer for nearly half off for a Black Friday Special on Nov. 25,2011. We then set a delivery date of Dec 17,2011. A couple of days before delivery … ALL OF A SUDDEN, the store claims they are on back order and delivery will not be made until the end of January or the beginning of February. It is now Jan. 24 and we were called by the salesman last Thursday and now he tells us to not expect delivery until the end of February or the beginning of March. WHY am I smelling a SCAM going on here ? I would like to hear of others who have fallen victim of this and please write to me…
please put LOWES WASHER/DRYER SCAM in the subject so I will not delete this mail. thanks and have a great day. Maybe we can get some class action suit going on to prevent these big box stores to sell items they KNOW they have no way of delivering. In the mean time, LOWES charged our LOWES credit card the full amount for something we have NO CLUE of delivery date. This just does not seem legal !!!!

To Peter about ‘Lowes black friday scam…’ This is not a scam. It sounds like the store simply oversold the product. They still have to honor the price and will fill the order when it arrives. If you do not want to wait speak to a manager at the store and ask them to give you some sort of discount on another washer and dryer combo, or get your money back and shop at a competitor. When a store orders something they are at the mercy of the company producing the product, so if the company says we will have it by a certain date and does not deliver, not much the store can do. Good luck on getting this resolved.
Peter….. get this, we also have been waiting for the washer and dryer and were told should be here by feb 15…my big issue now is a store 30 miles away had 2 washers in stock for the last two weeks and we were told by corporate we couldnt get one cause they dont normally do that….I also was checking stores around that area and a few had at least 1 in stock… how can you carry stock when so many people are waiting…. i am so disgusted by lowes, I know lowes doesn’t care but this will be the last time I use them
