Ok my son is 5 years old and he really enjoys watching Songebob and Fred. I recently walked in on the episode of Fred and I dont think that a kid show should have a young boy in it that acts and talks in that kind of way. I dont think it is leaving a good expample for him and as well as other kids. I also have noticed that Spongebob had an episode about Patrick and Spongebob being parents to a baby clam, that show came across very homosexual and I do not appriciate Nickolodeon showing shows like this on tv for my young son to see.

I have 5 children at home and yes, the old Nick flicks were cool, but I think parents/guardians need to banned together and stop Nick from putting disrespectful crud on tv. I barred Spongebob when my 6 year old was 4 and I saw how raunchy he and his cohorts were. And now this Fred thing, GET IT OFF! We have enough confusing ravishing children’s minds and a boy talking and acting like a girl is not sending a good message. I am not a judge of the homosexual population, however, it shouldn’t be promoted to our children. Whoever is the writer of Fred should be shamed, just to make money from a sick mind. I agree. I sat and watched this new show because of the annoying voice at first and because I monitor what my son watches and it was outrageous!! My 7 year old is not allowed to watch this show anymore. I don’t think a boy acting like a girl is an appropriate message to send to young boys. My son says he’s just trying to talk like a kid but I see differently. They imitate what they say and I think this show needs to be off very quickly!!
I think it is your cliche beliefs of traditional gender roles that is the problem, why would you assume Fred is acting like a girl, maybe he is just acting like Fred!

The fact of the matter is that we are all subjectively influenced by these shows, regardless of what we or our kids think. They wil project what they watch on tv. I totally agree that ” fred’s and sponge Bob’s” writers should take the responsibility more seriously.
Fred is terriable, its a known fact. But, Spongebob is an overall appropriate show. That homosexual bit was comedy, don’t take it to seriously. I don’t know your sons age,(Im hoping young like 7) But he probably doesn’t even understand that and (i’ve seen that episode) they are playing roles patrick is the standard come home late dad and Sponge bob is the cooking/cleaning mom.
I usually watch friends after work from 11pm to 1am in the morning. The other night I was gonna watch my show but ended at 12am. I was like ok I might have changed the channel accidentally, but no!!!!!! I did not. My favorite show “friends” is nos from 11pm to 12am. I am very upset about this, friends is two thousands so much better than that 70′s show. That f****g show really sucks. Plase bring friends back to normal schedule.

the fred show is down right ridiculous! do not let your children watch that show, i have no idea what they beleive the purpose or message this show is good for. i have debated with ppl about spongebob, i dont see it as all bad…spongebob is can be debated, there are pros and cons. however the fred show should stop immediately!!!! this is a show for little kids just learning who they are! i am not against homosexuality. the fred show is a boy acting as if he were a girl. this could have kids wishing they are sommething they are not! i will not let my son watch nickelodeon period, as long as the fred show is on. too many thoughts to type but there has to be someway for the producers to know that the fred show was the very very very very very wrong move!! take it off please!

Fred the show is the worst show ever! I don’t allow my kids to watch it. Not only because of the fact he’s talking like a girl but because it is straight stupid. The way he acts…. I can’t even explain how disgusted i am by this show. And I don’t understand why a show like this is on tv anyways. Horrible. Take this show off or my kids won’t watch nic at all anymore.
For on ething in case u never notcied. Fred started out online with a kid who fast forwarded his voice to make it sound higher. In real life he doesnt talk like that, its just a simple editing technique.
Absolutely the most annoying and ridiculous show I have ever seen. The fact that he may be a homosexual has no effect what so ever on the quality and stupidity of the scipt! I know plenty of awesome gay people and if this guy is for real, then he is a true embarrassment to the gay community! Luckily my children have better senses then to watch this terrible show, please get it nickalodeon, the commercials alone make me turn the channel!

Well im a lesbian women with 2 kids a boy n girl and I wouldnt allow my 8 yr old son watch it. I dont want my son to ever feel confused because of the show or think its ok to act like a girl. If my son were to ever come out gay thats fine but never would i allow him to be influenced by t.v. I dont even bring my lesbian relationship around my kids.
In any case, homosexuallity is acquired, you have to care your kids so much and more in USA where the homosexuallity is almost as normal as the straight sexuallity.
I watched the Fred show because of the weird voice i guess they used that as a tool to draw kids to it. worked for my 14month old. But i realized that its promoting homosexuality subliminally.. a childrens show! like who does stuff like that to the babies. its disgusting. they shouldn’t do kids like this.. confusing them.. things are going from bad to worst in the world. Men dressing as women.. its not right and as far as my views Our Creator said its not right. Glittery clothes on men. His flamboyant loud feminine actions are not cute or okay. this show made me sick to my stomach and wanted to cry. Nickolodeon shame on you for doing our kids like this. I hope the show is cancelled.
