I sent my phone in for the 5th time for repairs. It came back faulty from the 4th repair and I was asked to take it to vodacare in middle of somerset west for a 48 hour swapout. The Waterstone centre asked me as they said they would battle to get a swapout or good response out of them. Well I defnitely have not gotten a good response from them either. The lady who booked it in on 12th november promissed to phone me on the monday or tuesday when the repair centre was open and let me know if they would swap it. No call.
Went in 2 weeks later and was told phone ready for collection at waterstone. Asked them to confirm with a phone call which they said they had done. Went to waterstone and no phone. The lady had lied about phoning. Was told it was only booked in onto the system more than a week after I had brought it in. Have been promissed feedback on when the phone is ready/progress. I have put 2 messages so far on hello peter.
To my question on why no one had contacted me on it after a week even though they said I would be contacted shortly and a brief outline of my last experience i got the same message saying someone will contact me shortly. Still waiting. I emailed customer care aswell and was asked for the reference number about a week later. Got a response a few days later saying the number I gave which was the branch number and form number was not in a valid format.
Gave all the details on the form from the person who served me to all the numbers etc on the form.( I cannot see why you cannot look on your system and see when the phone was last booked into the system). The lasy who looked it up on my return to the shop obviously looked up the wrong repair. When she looked again when we phoned her from waterstone she seemed to find the correct one. Don’t know why they are battling so much.
I am waiting with baited breath to see if I get any resolution or when someone will respond again. I had been prommised the phone would be given priority when I took it in to the shop. The priority seemed to be to not call me and book it in over a week later onto the system. Was again promissed priority on the 24th November.
Am waiting to see if that means anything to vodacom. I am obviously not a valued customer, even though I have been loyal to vodacom for over 11 years. My contract is due for renewal in this month. I can swap to a new supplier in january. At this time as I have been battling for over a year with vodacom and the phone is still faulty I feel no motivation to remain a vodacom customer. Nobody seems to care anymore.
Vadacare is defnitely not an apt description of the store and they should consider changing its name that better reflects the product and service that is offered by Vodacom.
