Hi – I received an sms on my phone stating that my phone has won R175 000.00 in the Mobile Merit Awards (Ref No : MMA4UX and was told to contact Rose on : 0827197528 or e-mail globalmobile@cash4u.com. When we did phone in a guy by the name of Ralph answered and confirmed that it was true. He then said that I must purchase 2 x R400.00 telkom pre paid and phone him back. When I asked him if he is sure this is not a scam he got very upset and said that he will not ask us to purchase telkom pre paid if it was a scam.
According to him when we do purchase the telkom pre paid he will then take us through the process and he said once we received the cheque within 3 hours he will give us banking details and we must deposit 10% of the winnings into the account that he is going to give us. I sure did not believe him becasue if I won any money why must I go though all this process and how come it is a cellphnoe no that we must contact not a land line and also when we question them they switch their phones off? I would appriecate it if we could know who these people are that are doing this and charge them.
People like this we must jsut pray for them and let God deal with them.

I received an sms from 0766447654 on 06 September 2011 at 02:41am telling me that “CONGRAGULATION! You are one of the lucky winner, you won R175,000 from Nokia yearly promotion, your Ref no is 119NKP, to claim it, call Mis Joy on 0839405748″. When I call she don’t answer it.
I would like to know. I have received on Sunday afternoon after 23h00 a sms from a cellphone number. I can’t look the number up again because that phone of mine screen has broken. They have said to me congratulation your cellnumber have just win you a amount of 250000.00 rand. You must call Mr. Nelson on the following number 0027-781031697 between 9h00 and 17h00 your winning ticket number is ……….. and they give me the number. This is from 2012 Mobile Merit Award. When I called them they said that I must recharged my phone with 200 dollars and send them my serial number on the recharge. I have done it and acording to Mr. Nelson this is al I have to pay then they will send my cheque. This morning I received a sms that I must pay another 4500.00 dollars for Cover Delivery fee.

When I told Mr. William that I do not have that money he said that then I will lose the 250000.00 dollars. Now I want to know if they said I have win the money and the cheque is made out in my name why can’t they deposit it into my bank account. The account they give to me is a Mobile Merit Receiving agent: account holder: Philile Hadebe, account number: 62353814231, FNB, Branch code 250655. This account makes me suspicias and I just want to know is it for real. I do not have the money to throw away. So if anyone except a cell number can call me and give me proof of this winning except for the Certificate then I will apreciate it or if any one that has win money can call me and give me proof. I will be very clad. If this is true than I will realy be glad to Mobile Merit Award.
I received the same sms and did some research.Please do not contact the so called Mr. Nelson again. It is a hoax and they just want to rob you of your money.Give their details and numbers to the South African police!
