More Terrible Apple Store Customer Service

On Sunday, my 4 week old iPhone completely blacked out: the Home button did nothing, plugging it in to the charger did nothing, the power off button did nothing, and the screen does nothing. Monday after work, I took it in to the AT&T store where I purchased the phone. I waited 30 minutes to speak with someone, and they told me I’d have to go in to the Apple Store because they handle all product support issues. So, Tuesday after work (Going on two days without a phone- the phone that I use for work), I visited the Apple store on Knox/Henderson in Dallas.

I waited a substantial amount of time before someone was free to speak to me. When I reached the counter and told the Apple employee my problem, I was told that I have to have an appointment to get service in their store. I told them I didn’t have an appointment but that I had been two days without a working phone, a phone I paid good money to own. They told me I’d just have to make an appointment and come back during that time.

Really, Apple? You pride yourself on products that are user friendly and designed with the customer in mind… but your customers can’t get help when your product fails? Your Apple Store employees are not doctors, or surgeons, or dentists. The pretension of your store is ridiculous: worst customer service experience in my 50 years of living.
