I have been a Supporter to all Apple Devices. Owning multiple devices (i.e.) 5 iPhones well every iphone since birth, 2 ipads, 2 Macbook Pros just to start. Where my issue starts, I purchased an iMac back in June of 2011. Because I have had so much faith and confidence in its products, I did not enroll in any protection plan on the iMac.
270 days later, I finally have an opportunity to utilize the iMac and discover a smudge in its upper right corner. I hardly ever, ever, ever had the time to utilize it to its fullest because I use my Macbook Pros. The iMac has less than 100 hrs of usage from time of purchase.
After speaking and explaining my plea to several advisors, even a Sr.Level Apple Care specialist, I am now left in the dark with no choice but to pay a full price of $526 to replace the lcd display which is a manufacture defect. I have kindly ask for some sort of customer courtesy. You would think a Multi-Billion Dollar company would appreciate a customer such as myself to say “Dont worry we will help” but that simply is not the case.
Up till today, I have lived and bleed all of Apple products. The thought of a bad relationship sickens me to my stomach. Until there can be a simple resolution, Im turing away from all business referrals, being a valued supporter and will no longer look to continue being a valued customer.
I saw that on 12/24/12 there were charges on my bank account for unauthorized purchases for about $129.00 on Apple iTunes store! As we all know, there are prompts that only allow purchases once password is put in! I know I didn’t authorize as I am unemployed and that would have cost me almost my entire unemployment check! Very upset about this. Can’t afford and need you to please take these charges off of my account and credit back to my bank account. I have had the credit card used for this account disabled per my bank’s suggestion in case this was a case of “hacking” in to my account.
Yesterday 25 December 2012 I purchased what I believed to be an iPad 4 32GB wifi cellular from Digits co in the Al Kout Mall Kuwait who advertise as a apple premium reseller store. This was purchased in Kuwait as I am working here for 3 months.
When I returned to my apartment, plugged it in to sync it with my other apple devices I realized that they had in fact sold me an iPad 3 instead, this would not of happened if it stated on the box which generation iPad it is. I went back to the store to be I formed as I had opened it and plugged it in to another device they will not exchange it or let me return it for a refund.
Is this a standard apple practice? If so your products need better marking so they can be told apart or is this just one store letting down the good name of your company as when I returned to the store they were very rude and abrupt with me which I feel is very poor at the best of times let alone when you spend that amount of money. Is there anything that I can do about this as they will not speak to me in the store.
Thank you
APLLE I-phone service is a JOKE they but bunch off retarded teenager with small flash light, it does not matter what the issue with your phone , they use the flash light to see the top off the phone and where you charge the phone then all they said the phone is “bad” you need replacement.
2 days ago I went to the store from my 4G I-phone it did vibrate for 1 min then shut off, I went to the store they said it need replacement, after I went home the I bulged the phone to the charger and it start working again. Now to I was checking my e-mail and the hall phone freeze up, I am worry to go back to these clown.
When i asked about the I-phone life time is 1 to 2 years that is a joke for the price we are paying for the phone. It should have a much longer battery life, and not suck quite so much in my opinion, at least they should recall the models and not have replace parts like this so soon. I got a 4G iPhone thinking it would last much much more for what? huh!
I rented a movie off of my I Pad 2, and about 30 minutes into it, it just quit playing and froze up my video. I attempted restarting my I Pad 2 and everything else I could think of. Of course I was charged the $5 for the movie rental that I didn’t get to finish. My complaint is that for some reason that incident won’t allow me to access the i tunes store to try and complain about this. My work computer is also filtered so I cannot access this at work.
I tried calling every number I could find and finally after 15 minutes on hold and saying the word representitive 23 times I was able to speek to a real person. This only led to the person telling me the only way to dispute the charge was to do it online, which I am not able to do. I was a huge fan of Apple products, but their customer service is the worst of any company I have ever delt with (even Sirius). Until they get their stuff figured out I am done with them.
AT&T, Bought a iphone for my son to take to school. The WORST decision i ever made. DROP CALLS, DROP CALLS,DROP CALLS ,DROP CALLS. ECT,ECT. Took it back to them they checked the phone said it was fine.Guess what DROP CALLS,DROP CALLS,ECT. took it back again they made me by a super sonic antenna,Guess what DROP CALLS,DROP CALLS,ECT. called main office gave me the run around for about a hour and half still no results.
Called again to cancel plan after 6 months of living hell and told them i will not be paying early determination fee. No one told me when i signed up for a two year contract there would be pathetic, none existing reception ever time you use the phone.SO i canceled and three weeks later i get a bill in the mail for a months service. I still payed it out of good faith. After everything i did these LOSERS sent and are still sending a bill for early cancellation fee. WTF. AT&T you should be ashamed.
My iPhone was taken to the Lephalale store because the screen froze a month after i got the new phone/contract. I happened whilst attempting to update on iTunes. The store sent the phone in to be reloaded as it seemed to be a software issue. Not long after I got sms’s from MTN HVRC that my phone would cost R2680 to repair….very long story short, and 2 months and many letters of complaint to MTNSP later I am now just told to collect the handset. Simple as that. However, I am not interested in the repaired handset, as I did not hand a damaged handset in at the branch, my phone got damaged by dhe branch, they then paid the R2680 ‘on my behalf’.
My contract provided me with a new iPhone4, now a month after using it, more that 2 months of waiting for the pone, i now end up with a repaired phone, which I did not damage. Mtn simply shrugs me of and tells me to collect the handset…….I am not interested in the bloody broken (now repaired handset) Iwant a new handset, because I took them a new handset and because I pay for a new handset!! Nobody understands this??? Please please help me!!I am supposed to be protected as a consumer and right now im being bloody abused as a consumer, Mtn doesnt give a damn! They happy to take my R12K+ pa tough??
I just received my new Mac Book Air Today. I was very excited to get started. I have never used a Mac and want files from my PC transferred to it. I subscribe to One On One. I called the store to find out how to go about getting my files transferred, what trainings I should take first…..When I called, a recorded voice said that 2 calls were ahead of me. After one and one half hours of waiting, the recorded voice said that I was the next call. I waited another hour and 15 minutes and finally hung up when no one ever came on the phone. This is outrageous.Almost 3 hours of waiting and nothing.
I bought a “3rd” generation 8gb Ipod Touch AS IT WAS ADVERTISED but instead I ended up getting a 2nd generation Instead. It says 3rd gen on the receipt! So after a year I noticed something the 3rd gen could do but not the 2nd gen so at that moment I went to check what generation my Ipod was which I shouldn’t need too if I expect to get what I’m getting in the first place! So low and behold it was a 2nd generation Ipod touch, and noticed that best buy falsely advertised a 3rd generation Ipod touch! So what I did was go to the store they said nothing could be done, ok alright, my next step what consumer relations.
I recently purchased an Apple MacBook Pro – MC700 through an approved Apple Retailer here in South Africa. Having used the Apple iPhone product for a very long time and having enjoyed the user friendliness and pure quality of the product I thought I’d give the Apple range of computers a go as well. Well, what a mistake…… Don’t get me wrong, I love the product but where is the after sales support? You can’t want to provide a range of products to a world wide market and offer no after sales support.
Unpacking the MacBook pro I noticed a sticker on the box stating that the laptop might be eligible for a free operating system upgrade to the Lion OS X due to the purchase being after 21 July 2011. With this I duly follow the required steps and log onto Apple’s website to proceed with the upgrade verification only to find the website doesn’t proceed further than step one which is the acceptance of the terms and conditions. Each time the check box is ticked, accepting the terms and conditions, and the proceed button is clicked on the website reverts back to that same step again.
With having no success in completing this process I thought I’d try get assistance in the online support function only to find that the online support only offers support to the iPhone range in South Africa and not ANY of the other Apple products sold in this country!!!
Failing this support option I tried to submit a feedback report to Apple directly via the US site to inform them and each time you click to submit the feedback it informs you an error has occurred and you must try again later. When later if I’ve been trying for 3 days now? Do I only succeed after the 30 day validity period is up to qualify for the free operating system upgrade?
I think it’s disgusting that Apple discriminates against another country where they sell their products by not offering the same level of support and software as they do to their US consumers or is our money just not good enough to validate after sales service.
This has been one of my most dissapointing purchases I have ever made and all because of the fact that Apple can’t offer after sales support for their own products. Well Apple, you may have just recently been noted as the wealthiest company in the world, but I certainly wont be contributing to that wealth again if you don’t play the game properly.
I purchased an ipod 1 year ago and now it does not work. Took the ipod to the Apple store, they said that they do not know what is wrong with it. My choice is to buy another 340.00 dollar ipod or swap the broken one for 105 dollars. The thing about it was that the sales guy was helping another person with the same exact problem as me. The other person had the same ipod and purchased it may of 2010 as I did. The sales person had no answers for this customer either. The staff are not helpful and just push the purchase of new items. Very Frustrated!
I have two products from apple, an Imac and a macbook pro, both use mac osx andsince the up dated version of safari came out last year my mac book pro hasn’t worked properly so i resorted to using firefox as a solution to the problem hasn’t been forth coming. Yesterday a notice for 5 updates came up on my Imac screen for down loading, Itunes, mac osx, java10.? and a couple of others! now my Imac doesn’t work! a black screen comes up with the message no bootable device– insert boot disk and press any key! first thing is the Imac has a wireless keyboard and will not respond and the disks provided when bought can’t re-boot the system.
When you pay £1300 pounds for a computer system you would expect the up dates to be virus free and not screw your computer up! further more there are not any ways in which to voice your concerns or make a complaint directly to apple mac, the way i see things is quite clear it was their up dates that has corrupted my system then they should either replace it with a new computer or pay for the system to be restored! I am not a happy bunny and am completly p-off at there lack of care and lack of customer care!
I bought an iTunes gift card on my way home from a trip. The card was apprently “not validated” by the store I purchased it from. iTunes response was: “print the reciept, print the card and send in” go back to the store and get a duplicate reciept etc.etc. The store is 137kilometres from where I live so ridiculous statement. My question is I purchased it from their supplier so the problem is between them not me! They have a serial number and a code and the log in number so they know about the card for sure. They will have been paid by the retailer so they have their money the retailer has their cut and the customer me has nothing! How bloody stupid. Boycott iTunes and go back to purchasing from stores.
I restored my sons 5th generation nano ipod that i bought for him X-mas 2009 because a friend tried using it on his account and messed everyting up. Then I set up a new account and when I went to purchase music for him I was told he had an invalid password or ID. I SET IT UP! How could it be invalid. By this time however the $15.00 gift card we tried to use was no longer valid. I again restored the ipod to the original factory settings and establised a new account used a new itunes gift card only to have the same thing happen again. They now have $30.00 of my money and we have nothing to show for it!
Tonight I have tried 4 times to install the lastest version of itunes and I cannot. I just purchased an itunes card and cannot even use it to purchase music because I can’t access the lastest version of itunes. What I will do is take my recently purchased itunes card and get my money back. I rather listen to the radio than have to go this unecessary aggravation. Life is way too short, and I cannot be bothered. I rather sell my ipod on ebay than deal with the bullshit of trying to download the latest version of itunes. The apple corporation isn’t doing anyone any favors by making us jump through hoops like some circus poodles just to purchase some music to download onto our pods.
Dear folks, I do not have a smart phone yet, but had been looking at Apple products. I think that Apple as a company was flat out wrong to discriminate against the Manhattan Project and Exodus Int. in denying them access to your network. You may not agree with all they stand for but their material is not “offensive” in any legal sense and represents a large segment of the population. You may of course do as you wish with your product but I will be looking for a more tolerant and broadminded company besides Apple.
On Sunday, my 4 week old iPhone completely blacked out: the Home button did nothing, plugging it in to the charger did nothing, the power off button did nothing, and the screen does nothing. Monday after work, I took it in to the AT&T store where I purchased the phone. I waited 30 minutes to speak with someone, and they told me I’d have to go in to the Apple Store because they handle all product support issues. So, Tuesday after work (Going on two days without a phone- the phone that I use for work), I visited the Apple store on Knox/Henderson in Dallas.
I waited a substantial amount of time before someone was free to speak to me. When I reached the counter and told the Apple employee my problem, I was told that I have to have an appointment to get service in their store. I told them I didn’t have an appointment but that I had been two days without a working phone, a phone I paid good money to own. They told me I’d just have to make an appointment and come back during that time.
Really, Apple? You pride yourself on products that are user friendly and designed with the customer in mind… but your customers can’t get help when your product fails? Your Apple Store employees are not doctors, or surgeons, or dentists. The pretension of your store is ridiculous: worst customer service experience in my 50 years of living.
I recently purchased 2 movies from the iTunes store and cannot get them to work. Also I can not seem to get a hold of anyone to help with this problem. Is there a number I can call to get a refund from iTunes?
I am having difficulty downloading music from iTunes. This frustration is compounded by the fact that i cannot contact Apple to discuss the matter. The software keeps freezing my computer and I am having real problems here. Thanks for understanding but I will need some help with iTunes! Apple customer service lines not helping causing more problems than solving…
Apple itunes customers beware. READ THE FINE PRINT! I spent a considerable sum of money “purchasing” many episodes of a favorite TV program from itunes. Customers need to know they are not buying files that can be played anywhere but in itunes and that access to the “purchases” is limited, you will never really own them and at some stage you will lose them altogether, Apple registers each program to the computer you are using and each time you change computers or play the program on a different computer, you lose a “life”, from memory i think you get five lives and then that is it.
Furthermore, backing up the files to DVD gets you nowhere, they are unplayable anywhere but in itunes, forget about watching them on your TV. Attempting to reinstall the backed up files to a new computer results in losing another life and guess what! they didn’t work anyway and are now totally unavailable. Take my advice, get your media elsewhere, the cost of this expensive lesson was comparable to the cost of buying the programs on DVD, which can be played anywhere and remains your property, not that of itunes.
I have just purchased an IPAD, and I also have a few mac notebooks and IMACS. The software is running better than windows stuff, but Apple seems to be so greedy. This company just has the intention to control your computers content, and is becoming a big threat to liberty. I really start to worry about this company and what they really do. For everything they do, they just want your money, and Apple wants to control your data. Just be careful, how much you purchase from Apple and what you syncronise over their server. Apple seems to be or to become big brother of all governments worldwide, or of all secret services!
I ordered an Apple MacBook but I never received it. They claimed it was lost by the delivery service but I never even received confirmation of shipment. About two weeks after payment, I received a few tracking numbers for the apple MacBook but they were all invalid. I demanded answers and a refund but they didn’t want to hear any of it. They wanted me to buy more of the same apple products and macbooks for me to get my first order. I contacted western union about it but they said that they could not do anything. They have a website but most of it is in Chinese so my plan failed. I was hoping that someone could help me!
Finally, iTunes started offering Beatles songs and albums. I went on to the site the first day the Beatles music appeared on itunes. Within each album there was a video (specific to the album) one could buy for $1.29. When I went back today to buy the videos associated with each album, I see that itunes will not sell the videos apart from the albums.
A little bit of background- itunes had been trying to strike a deal with the remaining living Beatles and the estates of those deceased since itunes inception. Everyone I know had pretty much given up on the Beatle’s music ever appearing on iTunes. But now it has – but unfortunately for the majority of people (such as myself), we were forced into buying the big boxed set of remastered Beatles CDs ($250) last year because we just couldn’t get the songs digitally, legally, and it appeared it was never going to happen. So for those of us in this situation who already have all of their music, we are now being punished and pressured into buying the entire album (which we already have) to get the videos.
What is so angering about this is that at the beginning (a few days ago) itunes was willing to sell the videos separately from the albums. But I guess they began to realize that a lot of people already had the music, having been forced to buy the expensive box set last year. So what do they do? You can only get the videos IF you buy the album you already have!!! Apple has always been a greedy, corporate monster but this really takes it to new lows.
iTunes could have maintained selling the videos separately and made a LOT of money. But that’s not good enough for the greedy itunes cookie monster- they in effect are saying, you want those videos? Well, you’re going to have to pay for the entire album to get them which means each video would cost about $13 rather than $1.29 (the standard itunes price for videos). Thirteen dollars for a three minute video???? God, you are so greedy and heartless to your customers! I’ve done business with itunes since their inception and have always known about their extreme business models but this is an all time low. I for one will never buy another movie, book, song , album, video, ringtone (or anything else) you sell itunes. I’m through with you. There are better alternatives to you such as Amazon’s mp3 store. You’re just a band of thugs, itunes. Goodbye!!
Yo iTunes, what the hell is your problem? Were you abused as a child? Was your uncle some sort of salivating paedo? I only ask because I want an explanation for why you feel the need to behave like a total jerk every minute of every day. I am writing to let you know that it is no longer acceptable and it ends here. Constant beeping, problems syncing with my devices, always crashing on me!!!! Oh yeah, I am on to you iTunes. I’ve seen your type a hundred times. Bullied as a child for having a misshapen head and badly fitting jeans. You’re bitter and vindictive and you need help. I suggest investing in some counselling and we will take it from there.
I got an iPhone 4 awhile back and have really enjoyed it so far, it is much better than my old iPhone 3g, but still lacked the customization that the android and other phones have. Needless to say after a few months of boredom, a friend jailbroke it for me one night. He added some cool apps and features that are really customizable, the only problem is now my phone is bugging out!
What most people won’t tell you is that once you jailbreak a phone you lose the ability to take it in to get fixed! Apple won’t have anything to do with people wanting to push their iPhones to the limit. Why doesn’t apple support more cool features like jailbreak models for the iPhone??? It just doesn’t make sense does it. Apple is supposed to be the geeky suave tech version of Microsoft, but lately it just seems like the big bad wolf, dominating everything and giving nothing back to us the consumers.
