Browse more than 22 reviews submitted so farOn April27 2016 I purchased a cub cadet mower with 3 year extended protection plan from tractor supply store #745. Like my father and his father before we'd come to rely on cub cadet to get the job done. I couldn't have been happier with my new cub. But come fall of 2016 The last time using this mower something was wrong. It didn't seem serious it seemed it was pulsing mildly. The engine. I didn't pay to much attention to the problem it really didn't seem that important at the time. In April of 2017 upon getting the mower ready for the cutting season I could tell I had a problem. Sometime that week I called customer service. While speaking to the lady on the phone she seemed very interested in issues that I was taken back by. Then it felt like almost an interogation. She finally asked me if I had cut anyone else's grass with the unit and I replied yes at that time our communication went south. I was trying to explain but couldn't get a word out. She said the protection plan was void because I cut someone else's grass with the unit. She never allowed me to explain I owned the property. That she was my tenant next door and the space I cut was extremely small. After attempting 3 times to state my case the phone call was dropped or ???. I understand this may be a little to late but I was overwhelmed and shocked by the results I decided to put it out of my mind. I simply put the unit back in my garage and use my 15 year old cub to do the job which I'm using today. I'm now looking to purchase a zero turn unit because I've purchased a property with a half acre of grass. I have a question. The same one I had after my extremely disappointing call to the rep. After decades of being loyal customers tell me why I should ever have confidence in cub cadet again. I have to believe I'd be rolling the dice. And that I cannot afford to do when it comes to my equipment.

A1 speed and sport. Cannot handle the volume of service and repair volume they have. My push mower has been there for 2 weeks for a simple carburetor cleaning. And they just told me they 2 weeks behind on service and repair in their store. I will never buy Cub cadet again if I can't get timely repairs and service locally on my purchase.
I purchased a "new" xt1 547 cc L/T 1. 42" deck serial number IL225H20150 on July 20, 2017. Brought it home and it would not stay running, loaded it back up and took it to the Big R store that I purchased it at, they adjusted the valves and got it running. Less than a month later the ignition switch went out loaded it up again and took it for repairs. Mowing with it Wednesday of this week it started blowing blue smoke out the exhaust, contacted Big R, I am told that now I need to take it to their store in Washington Il. When I bought this I thought I was getting the top of the line mower, I have had nothing but problems! My question is what are you going to do to make this right? My warranty expires in a month. Like I said I purchased a new mower and this seems to be more like a used one. Hopefully you would just replace it! Loaded up AGAIN and heading for more repairs. Hope to here a reply soon. I can also be reached at 309-267-5837.
I am 66 years old. My husband and I have owned Cub Cadets all our married lives. Which was 37 years. He died 10 years ago leaving me to mow about 2 &1/2 acres...we have owned only 3 tractors in this time. I needed a new one so I bought it at Home Depot. I used it 3 times and the front deck wheels fell off. I had it repaired. I have only kept it in the garage and cleaned it after every use, the back of the seat is split in at least 5 places. The hitch plate bend down when I moved the boat, Now it will not start. I bought a new key starter module costing me 76 dollars and did not fix it as mechanic thought it was. The battery is fine but very upset as I am on a fixed budget and have vowed never to buy another Cub Cadet.
Thought you should know I will let anyone who ask the tractors are junk. Not happy!!!! Faye Fee

Mike at palmetto outdoor power egu. Manning SC. has worked to fix a simple belt that keeps coming off. Over 100 dollars in three trips. He sold me this mower ,said it was his mothers. I got his mothers problem! Waited three months for him to get me a bagger, finely ordered on line to get it. I got three different stories each visit for repairs. Still looking for another shop for repairs?
This started back in in Oct 2018 so bear with me.... I dropped off my cub lawn tractor for warranty work and at the same time purchased another cub snow blower. I was told 2 weeks to fix my tractor as it was getting a warranty transmission. Two months go by I hear nothing, three I called talked to Bob yep we are waiting on parts. Ok give it a couple of weeks Bob where is my tractor still waiting on parts. forward to march 2019 Bob I need my tractor still waiting, ok I will call cub cadet corporate office.
Cub Cadet tells me they are available so I call two other shops and they are available with them as well. Bob where is my tractor still waiting on parts, I need it could have used it all winter where is it?
Since I was looking at upgrading I talked to Dave in sales who gave me a high sales price on a new one $300 more than Home Depot on the same machine and a low trade on mine. Dave told me they are still waiting who knows how long it could be to get it done but could deliver a new on in a week.
May 1 2019 Bob calls says its done come and get it. I told him both him and Dave said they would deliver it, nope we never said that. We have worked very hard to get this done for you in such a short time frame, 7 months are you kidding me. Not one straight answer ever. Called back to speak with the owner Jerry Danner was told he does not take calls, I said cool then I will see him in court. 15 minutes later Jerry calls me and tries to duck and cover for his poor employees who are mostly related. I told him how we were treated and he was very informed about our dealings so he had spoken to his staff prior to the call. I asked him why this had taken so long and he continued to cover then a little more pressing and the true popped out. A mechanic was sick and they were busy pushing snow and they had snow mobile services to work on. Jerry also told me that they had to wait to get paid for the work they did and it cost them more because the transmission came from a different supplier, but I could come get my tractor no charge. I told Jerry not my problem and he could deliver at no charge as Bob and Dave both told me they would do after 7 months of lies I think that's the least he could do. Jerry delivered my machine 5 hours later and shoved a piece of paper in my face with writing on it that showed a back order date of may 31 2019 on it, but computers always leave a trace it was ordered today.... Nothing but lies out of this place, not sure of the work yet.......
This aside the more people that I talk to have told me the number of problems they are having with their machines with no one to stand behind it I thought a warranty meant something and yes mine was used. But I still do not have a guarantee of the quality of the repair parts that were used and could have the same issue again on my dime which will lead me to another machine that's not yellow.
my club cadet push string trimmer was returned to me today because club cadet refused to honor the warranty that was on it. i have only had it for 2 years and 2 months with a 3 year warranty. it's a sad day when warranties are denied for normal ware and tear. i had a craftmans for over 15 years and knew the proper use of it and having had no problems. has warranties gone to the dogs as well as the country? i certainly will not have a good word for club cadet.
On January 9th I bought a cub cadet sc300hw 159cc front drive-high wheels with a 3 year limited warranty. I bought it in Alvin Texas 1200 FM 1462 77511 . All they had was one sitting outside so I bought it since I really wanted it. The problem is, it did not have the rear bag grass collector or the side disperser chute. I went back the following day to ask for those parts and they looked for them but could not find them. They said they would call me when they’d find them but they never called. I know the lawn mowers come with those parts plus even a small bag of oil. Would you folks be able to get those parts for me and mail them to my address. I would greatly appreciate it. I don’t really want to return my cub cadet. I always wanted one. My address is: 15842 Heritage Falls Dr. Friendswood, Tx. 77546 ...Thank you

Back in August 7, 2012 I purchased a new Cub Cadet RZT-S 42 from Cirrus, Inc. 184 Old Shackle Island Road. This mower was serviced bu Cirrus EVERY YEAR. The first couple of years the mower and service were OK. The 4th and 5th year were such a disaster at one point in the year 2017 I had to call the Cirrus help line to get answers about my mower. The people at this Hendersonville, TN. location that Cirrus has are all WORTHLESS !
Cirrus told me they would have to take the engine on my mower apart due to a Crankshaft problem. To make a long story short after contacting the help line the person I talked to actually call this Cirrus center to tell them the problem was not the Crankshaft and NOT to take this engine apart. To make matters worse they came up with some BULLSHIT story about my engine needed a Push Rod replaced and a few other things that cost me hundreds of dollars. They charged me so much they did not even give me a bill for what was charged to my credit card.
I have now taken my mower to a John Deer dealer in my area and I was told that these clowns at Cirrus did not even catch the bearings going out on the under Carriage and if the bearings would have gone out with the Spindles it would have caused extensive damage. This should have been noticed last year if not the year before.
It is no wonder that Cirrus centers (ALL) in the area where I live have a rating of 3 out of 5 or less. The people you have servicing equipment DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING and the people you have working at Cirrus are NOT capable of telling customers the truth !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER MOWER OR ANY EQUIPMENT FROM CUB CADET or related equipment EVER AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I PURCHASED A NEW CUB CADET 26” 3X 3 STAGE SNOWBLOWER FROM HOME DEPOT 11/23/2016. WE HAD NO SNOW AT THAT TIME, SO THAT I COULD NOT TRY IT OUT. IN DECEMBER WE HAD NO SNOW ALSO. THE FIRST TIME I HAD A CHANCE TO TRY IT WAS 1/8/2017, IT WOULDN’T THROW THE SNOW MORE THAN 6 FEET. I HAD TO KEEP STOPPING AND CLEAN OUT THE SHOOT. I CALLED THE HOME DEPOT STORE THAT I BOUGHT IT FROM, AND THEY HAD ME BRING IT TO THEM, WHICH WAS HARD TO DO FOR ME BECAUSE I'm 74 YEARS OLD, AND HAVE HEALTH PROBABLEMS. I ALSO HAVE TO CALL SOMEONE AND BEG FOR A RIDE TO THEM WITH A TRUCK. THEY DETERMINED THAT THE BELT FOR THE AUGER WAS NEVER PROPERLY PLACED ON THE PULLEY, IT WAS ON THE SHAFT THAT HELD THE PULLEY, AND WAS ALL CHEWED UP. I PICKED IT UP THREE DAYS LATER, (NO CHARGE). MEANWHILE I HAD TO HIRE A SNOW PLOW TO CLEAN MY DRIVEWAY. THE NEXT TIME I USED IT, ON 1/18/2017, THE BELT BROKE. AGAIN I HAD TO GET IT TO THEM WITH HELP.THIS TIME I WAS CHARGED $84.62 FOR A REPLACEMENT BELT. AGAIN I HIRED A SNOW PLOW TO CLEAN OUR DRIVEWAY. NOW, 11/16/2018 IT NOT ONLY FAILED TO THROW SNOW MORE THAN 6 FEET, AND I HAD TO KEEP CLEANING THE SHOOT. THEN IT WOULDN’T REV UP ENOUGH TO THROW THE SNOW. I FIGURE IT WAS THE GOVERNOR. I ALSO HAD A TOUGH TIME WITH THE CHOKE. I HAD TO RUN IT HALF OPEN, AND EVEN THEN I HAD NO LUCK. FINALLY TO TOP OFF MY DAY, THE CABLE THAT RUNS THE AUGER WENT SLACK, AND THE SHAFT THAT TURNS THE SHOOT CAME OUT. BY THAT TIME I HAD HAD IT. I HAD TO HIRE ANOTHER SNOW PLOW TO CLEAN THE DRIVEWAY. I CALLED THE STORE AND THEY SAID THEY WERE AWFULL BUSY, WHICH I COULD UNDERSTAND, BUT THEY ASKED ME TO BRING IT BACK, AND THEY WOULD GET TO IT WHEN THEY COULD. I CAN’T KEEP DOING THIS. I HAD A TROYBUILT BLOWER FOR OVER THIRTY YEARS, AND NEVER EVEN REPLACED A BELT, OR HAD ANY OTHER PROBLEMS WITH IT. IT FINALLY GOT TIRED AND DIDN’T HAVE THE POWER THAT IT HAD. SO, I GAVE IT AWAY TO A POOR FAMILY. I FIGURED I WOULD DO MYSELF A FAVOR AND BUY MYSELF MY LAST SNOWBLOWER THAT I WOULD PROBABLY HAVE TO USE. I WENT ON LINE AND SAW THE DEMONSTRATION OF THE 3X, THREE STAGE CUB CADET, AND WAS SOLD. IT NOW SITS IN MY GARAGE, USELESS. I'M TIRED OF THE HASTLE OF RETURNING IT, PAYING MORE MONEY, JUST TO BE DISAPPOINTED AGAIN. I’VE ALWAYS TAKEN GOOD CARE OF MY EQUIPMENT. I WAXED IT INSIDE AND OUT, AND KEPT THE OIL CHANGED, KEPT THE AUGER SHAFT GREASED, I WOULD LIKE TO RETURN IT TO YOU, AND GET WHATEVER MONEY YOU THINK I SHOULD GET. I'M TIRED OF THE HASTLE OF RETURNING IT, PAYING MORE MONEY, JUST TO BE DISAPPOINTED AGAIN. I WOULD LIKE TO RETURN IT TO YOU, AND GET WHATEVER MONEY YOU THINK I SHOULD GET FOR IT. AS IT IS TAKING UP SPACE IN MY GARAGE. By the way, when I started it last, the light didn’t work, and the hand warmer grips never worked. I purchased a lemon. NOW, THEY WANT ME TO TAKE IT TO A REPAIR SHOP AND HAVE THEM ESTIMATE, AND OR FIX IT. I TOLD HIM THAT I DON'T WANT IT. HE KEPT SAYING THE 90 DAYS WERE UP AS FAR AS THEIR RESPONSABILITY GOES. I HAD IT BACK BEFORE 90 DAYS, AND THEN AGAIN AFTER FOR THE SAME THING, AND THEY CHARGED ME $84.62 FOR A NEW BELT. NOW AGAIN I'm HAVING TROUBLE AND THEY SAY THE STORE WARRANTY IS UP. isn't THERE A LEMON LAW LIKE WITH AUTOMOBILES? I SAID IN OTHER WORDS IF I BROUGHT IT BACK EVERY DAY FOR 90 DAYS YOU WOULD SAY MY WARRANTY IS UP? PLEASE HELP ME, I DON'T WANT THE MACHINE. I REALIZE IT'S HOLIDAY SEASON NOW, SO IF YOU COULD GET BACK TO ME WHEN YOU CAN, I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT.THANK YOU . HAROLD BAKER 12 KIDD KOE, BALDWINSVILLE, NY 13027. My Cub Cadet lawn tractor has been in the shop for over a month waiting on the warranty department to approve the services needed. I have contacted customer service, their response was that the warranty department must be very busy there was nothing they could do to speed up the process and there was nobody else that I could contact. I have been without a lawn mower the entire month of July and now going into August. I purchased a Cub Cadet thinking that I was getting a quality machine from a company that would stand behind it. I am sorry to say that my experience has proven otherwise.
On the strength of Consumer Report we purchased this tractor mower. The same week that we purchased ours, out neighbor Scott Rivers purchased his identical unit. This year while Scott was mowing his lawn I noticed when he was preparing to turn the unit off he throttled down and the motor responded. Ours DOES NOT THROTTLE DOWN. I contacted THE NIEMEYER CORPORATION, 19 South Newtown Street Road Newtown Square, Pa 19073. Where we purchased our unit 5/08/2017, they picked it up for repair/ correction for this issue. On 7/20/2018 they returned the unit unrepaired so that I could cut my lawn. They stated that the part was ordered. Today 7/30/2018 I stopped by and was told that the part is on back order. For what we paid for this unit, I expect it to works as well as my neighbors. If this can't be repaired NOW, I WANT A NEW MOTOR WITH ZERO HOURS ON IT, THAT IS WHAT WE PAID FOR. My neighbor got a perfectly operating mower, WE WANT ONE TOO.
Please respond ASAP, My EMAIL ADDRESS IS < rickecruiser@gmail.com >
Thank you, Marile R Marshall & Carl V. Rickert
We took our Cub Cadet Challenger 750 utv to get the brake recall taken care of. We complained about how noisy the machine was when were driving it. Our ears would be ringing after we got off of the unit. Who knows what it is doing to our ears et alone our search dogs ears. You could not even talk to the person sitting next to you. We run a search team and need to be able communicate with people on the radio and when we are working. Our unit has 55 miles on it and we were ready to sell it and buy something other than a Cub Cadet and would not recommend them to anyone. Dale took the time to listen and helped us get this issue resolved. Dale took our complaint and contacted Cub Cadet and worked with them for a solution to the noise issue. He didn't have to do this. Riley and Joe the mechanics took the time to figure out to reduce the noise as well. I called Cub Cadet customer service and was treated rudely by the representative when I asked for a call back, they said they have had no noise complaints on theses. I asked to speak with someone else and was transferred to a Tech who only said they have no issue with noise on these and take it to the dealer it's probably the muffler. I explained to him it was there now. He said have them call. I called back two days later and was told same thing it could be the muffler. I asked to speak to a supervisor and the gentleman said he was at lunch . He took my name and number to call me back that was two days ago and I have yet to get a call back. Cub Cadet has discontinued this utv and if this is how they run there business ,we will never buy from them again as well as refer anyone to them again this utv has 55 miles on it. If Dale, Riley and Joe took the time to help us get this resolved even though it was not a warranty issue. They went way above to make sure their customer was happy. I would recommend Trailers and More .

My cub cadet 1042 just took a dump. All of the head bolts and valve cover bolts vibrated loose and now I have a cracked block. Read online that this is a common occurrence with this mower. Very upset with this dilemma! $2000 mower, this should have never happened. Don't even know if this can be repaired! Doubtful that it is worth it.
I have a cub cadet two stage snow thrower and have tried 800-668-1238 and 877-428-2349 and tried to get some help with my problem. That is: My model # 928SWE, 31AH9M7G710, Serial # 1H155130074 Shaft assembly steering: Part #618-0282D and bearing ball # 741-0563. I am over 65 and the machine is not used all that much. Yesterday I was putting it in the garage and when going in reverse heard a clunk and was concerned so I pulled it into the garage and removed the belly pan. I found that the the shaft was sheared off about three inches from the right side of the machine standing in back looking at the motor.
It broke the bearing housing and trashed the bearing. None of the chains broke or as I can see nothing is messed up. I have talked with other individuals and they said they had similar problems and when contacted the manufacturer they were sympathetic with the situation and replaced the shaft with no charge. I am hoping I can get some help with this problem which looks like bad metal the way it broke. The break is just to the right of where the snap ring is located on the right. If more information is needed or photos, let me know.
I did pay a lot for this and don't use it all that much. Thank you for any help you can give me. If I can call someone with cub cadet headquarters or someone who can make this problem go away I would appreciate that.
I have had my Cub Cadet riding lawn motor for a year until the transmission went out. Warranty picked it up but its been in shop for 4 weeks at repair. Took 3 weeks for repair place to look at it, and I think this is bull. But that has to do with Tractor supply warranty. I want to know if Cub corporate is going to send a new transmission or what?
Riding mower was not ready for pick up when I arrived a the store for pick-up. It had to be assembled. Next I needed some warranty work done and was given bad contacts and untrue commits on when the service man would be out to work on my mower. When I finally go a hold of Cub cadet's service line they failed to help me and told me they had not authorized service help in my area and acted if they did not care to help me. I went to the Home depot store where I purchased my mower and paid cash for it and asked to speak to the manager but refused to let me and told me to contact Cub Cadet about my issue. It seemed like they didn't care to get me the proper contacts. I'm very discussed about the lack of service I got from Home Depot & Cub Cadet. My yard is now about a foot tall due to mower not being in service.
I purchased a new snow thrower on Nov 28, 2014. I only used in twice in the Winter of 14/15 and it did not run well both times. I returned it to the dealer I bought it from on March 6, 2015, Harrison St. Power Equipment in Shelbyville, IN. After keeping it for over 4 weeks, all the dealer did was put new fuel in and said it had bad fuel.
When I went to use it on Feb 14, 2016, the snow thrower will not even start. I paid a premium for the snow thrower which so far has failed to run correctly even 1 time. Furthermore, the dealer did not listen to my issues with the unit and did not properly service the unit. I have had a very negative experience both with both Cub Cadet and Harrison St. Power Equipment.
Recently we had to mow the lawn and our old mower wasn't working at all. So we went into Cub Cadet and purchased a push lawn mower. I am totally impressed with this product. It come with 21-inch mowing deck., 59cc Cub Cadet engine with SureStart Guarantee and 3-year limited residential warranty. Who can expect more than this!!! Cub Cadet has many variety and one can choose based on their desire. I purchased mine for just $249. It is amazing value for money and the quality of the machine is simple awesome. I have used it the next day and it did work perfectly well to my requirement. Thanks to Cub Cadet for this handy machine and I would definelty suggest this to my neighbors and friends too.

my club cadet push string trimmer was returned to me today because club cadet refused to honor the warranty that was on it. i have only had it for 2 years and 2 months with a 3 year warranty. it's a sad day when warranties are denied for normal ware and tear. i had a craftmans for over 15 years and knew the proper use of it and having had no problems. has warranties gone to the dogs as well as the country? i certainly will not have a good word for club cadet.
