Dear Netflix, I’m writing this complaint for everyone that is unaware of your policy. I thought about signing up for netflix and entered my card information. I never completed the sign up process nor did I agree to any terms. Why does netflix maintain my card information on file. There is no clause that clearly states NETFLIX WILL MAINTAIN CARD INFORMATION AFTER IT HAS BEEN ENTERED. I Called your consumer line and requested to speak with a supervisior. He appeared helpful then became annoyed when I insisted to have my card information deleted from your system.
I did not sign up for your service why are you maintaining my information. The supervisior Shawn C. continued to state “its for government purposes”. If that is the case why does netflix hide that clause, extra small font, I had to go to 3-4 sub menus. I only knew all of that because the supervisior had to find it himself. I could not find anything that stated if you think about signing up we maintain your information. Any website you visit allows you the opportunity to erase your information; if not it clearly informs you will still be charged.
Considering this does not apply to me WHY ARE YOU HOLDING MY INFORMATION????? As a consumer I should be made aware before hand about policies. It’s very deceitful of nexflix to store my information even though I am not a consumer.
No matter what I search for no matter how old, it is only on DVD. Movies from the 80’s, only on DVD. Currently on TV, DVD Only. I may keep it for a while but its getting so I cannot find anything I want to watch. I hear Netflix is doing away with DVD? If so, does this mean they will have a better streaming selection? For the time it takes to get DVD and mail back. I can go to redbox and get about the same amount of them a month as Netflix and maybe cheaper, and new releases are there way sooner than Netfilx. Hopefully streaming will get better???
there is an unauthorized appearing on my debit card for $9.89, placed on 9/28/2010. i am a former netflix customer, and was attempting to try out your offer of 1 month’s free trial. when i learned that i was not eligible for the free trial, (because i was a former member), i gave up the whole thing. i never, at any time, agreed to rejoin netflix, and pay $9.89 to do so. reimburse me $9.89. please take me off your list of contacts.
