There is no relation between the company and Louisiana Citizens Property Insurance Corporation, or several similarly named "for-profit" subsidiaries in the Hanover Insurance Group.
The Citizens Property Insurance Corporation plays an important role in Florida's property insurance market by providing coverage to people who are in good faith entitled to obtain coverage through the private market but are unable to do so.
