I am a sister of an 8 year old girl who loves Disney Channel. She started watching Disney when I was watching it, about 5 years ago. Back then, Disney aired shows that were funny, but they were also appropriate and taught good lessons. I only watch it when I’m at home babysitting now, and I have noticed that Disney has definitely changed in the way they portray their “comedy”. Today, my little sister was watching a show called MY BABYSITTER’S A VAMPIRE, and I thought that the show was not appropriate for an 8 year old little girl. The episode that I watched had an adult teacher that had an inappropriate love interest in a boy.
The episode also included girls fighting over the boys and the boys were encouraging it. Are fighting over boys and teachers having love interests in a student the lessons that Disney Channel is trying to teach these young children? We see teachers going to prison every day for having love interests in students, and young teens committing suicide because of jealous peers. I am deeply disappointed in Disney Channel’s choice of shows that they are airing. Disney Channel is for young kids, not almost grown teens.

But this isn’t a Disney Channel show! It’s a Canadian show that originally aires on Teletoon! The show airs on Disney Channel in the U.S.! If you have a problem with it go after the other company but not Disney Channel because they didn’t make the show!
If you think its inappropriate then DONT WATCH IT. don’t blame disney, times change and they keep up. its not their fault if your caught up in the past, its not their fault you watched it don’t blame them, blame yourself for watching it.
I honestly don’t like today’s shows and never watch Disney since I was 11 but I think they are just trying to appeal to the kids of the past with shows more approiate to the current ages of these Pre-teens
disney has lame the time i’s
