Need a Groupon Refund Email Address

Purchased beauty treatment from salon in Toorak called ‘Total Body’ rang them 4 times and left messages for appointment. No answer. Have sent 2 emails requesting my money back and all they did was email me saying the email address has been changed and I need to log in ALL MY PERSONAL DETAILS and wait 7 – 10 for them to get back to me re appointment. Tried to log in to make appointment twice but website rejected my email address. Tried to contact ‘Groupon’ and waited on phone twice and couldn’t get through.

Last night I drove to the salon thinking it would be open late Thursday night but it was closed. I want my money back ASAP and response from ‘Groupon’. I’m pretty upset as I also purchased 2 massages and when I finally got in contact with them couldn’t get appointment till end May, no weekends at all and voucher runs out in June!

I received from my brother a Groupon Champagne tea for 2 – the validity date was to the 25th February. When he bought them he was told that as long the we booked by the 25th feb that was fine we didnt have to go and recieve the experience by that date. I still rang Groupon AND the Hotel (Tophams) and they both told me that as long as it was booked by the 25th then no problem. Guess what happened when I went to book the voucher – they ALL said no you had to have gone by the 25th feb your voucher is now expired. I AM LIVID.

  1. I am writing to express my deepest disgust with Groupon and LA Fitness. This was only my second experience with Groupon. The first one was a voucher to a Moroccan Spa which turned out to be a something I would relate more with a brothel. After the initial shock, the treatment was not bad so I will put the bad first impression as “exotic” customer services. My ordeal today started with a very sweet action from my partner who thought that buying me these 10 guest passes for LA Fitness would be a good replacement for my current gym membership. After the paying for the deal we realised that due to the limited number of LA Fitness clubs in London as well as a long list of limitations and exclusions, the cheap deal started to show its true colours. Today I finally found the time to check out the Waldorf club in Aldwych today and the customer service I received was appalling.

Bellow you will find the additional information printed on the bottom of the page with the vouchers:
…”To make the most out of your 10 day passes, please take a moment to read through the following information:
    • Your safety and security are our main concern; please ensure you sign a Health Commitment Statement to confirm you are well enough to exercise.
    • As a members only club, we have duty of care to all those who use our facilities, to help us keep the club & yourself safe and secure, please ensure that you bring photo ID with you on each visit
    • The 10 vouchers are not transferable and must be used by the named person on the pass and be supported by the relevant named ID.
    • If you wish to attend a class please note that we have to give priority to our members, but if there is a space on the day you are more than welcome to come and enjoy the class
    • You will be required to bring a padlock with you to securely store your belongings, alternatively you will be able to purchase a padlock at reception when you arrive…”
I was served by an attendant who made me feel very uncomfortable from the time I approached the reception desk, the same attendant required a photo ID which was never mentioned on the information I received after the payment was processed and I could then claim the voucher and read its instructions.
The attendant disappeared for a couple of minutes and then returned with the same attitude. As the result, I was not able to enter the club and felt humiliated in front of many other customers entering the club at that time. I asked how I could get a refund on the deal; the attendants reply was that I would need to sort it out with Groupon as it was not LA Fitness responsibility.

I felt penalised for not carrying a photo ID which is not even required in this country. I have the right not to carry a photo ID in the UK, in fact, I can even go to a police station to report a crime without a photo ID and I still be served. Nevertheless, if I had turned up to join LA Fitness they would be more than happy to take my payment, bank details and tie me up to a twelve months contract, and above all, I am sure that I would not be prevented from entering the club for not having a photo ID on me. Based on today’s incident I don’t really expect to get a refund or even an apology from either Groupon or LA Fitness. The amount paid for the deal, regardless how much, was my partne’s money and your client was indirectly deceived. I am not impressed with the whole experience and have no interest in returning to that club or any LA Fitness club on the planet. I still believe that word of mouth is the best advert to business and in this age of social network I expect to reach at least a few hundred people I am in touch with, making sure they take into account the sort of service and respect they should expect when dealing with these two companies.

  2. I brought a couple of tickets for me and the wife late last year, off a third party,to go “balloning in the cotswolds”.. Went to book it for around our aniversary..early november. When i enquired i was told that as its now winter, flying was now restricted due to the weather.. Fair do i thought..Then was asked if i wished to join the “winter flying list” yes please i said.. And was told to wait for a phone call to let us know when they were flying.. Waited all winter…right up until march this year.. So decided to ask if they are still open/flying as i had heard nothing for 5 months.. Only to be told that summer flying has now started…thanks for telling me.. I was told to book online, that i went to but there was no dates.. So i had to call to find out what was going on,then was told to check online, to find more dates that were added. I did just that, but was somewhat suprised as being having paid you we had to go on a first come first served basis.Well that day came and went, cancelled due to bad weather,so i quickly booked another date, but was limited to what days were available, due to obviously being busy..I booked a saturday, and again was cancelled due to the weather. So again i quickly booked up,again limited to when was availble, Had to wait over 2 weeks.. only to get an email saying that i had to pay £30 per person because the voucher had expired! So Ive been waiting all winter,5 months infact, only to hear nothing from them.. When i do phone i was told that it was due to the fact that they didnt fly all winter..I find it hard to believe that there were no suitable days for flying, all winter… When i spoke to them on the phone, i was told that it was in the information document, that i dont have?Granted i brought it from a third party, but they should have treated me as a new customer, after all they had there money in transfering our name onto the voucher,so there for should have checked that we had all the relavant documents. I also find it very strange that they have had our money for 12 months earning interest on it,and that we have to adopt a first come first serve basis when booking, Surely they should be looking at flying those that have been on the winter waiting list, and or those that have had ther voucher first? Especialy knowing that they charge a further £30 per person if the 12 months from buying the voucher is applied..So after all that it left a very bad taste in my mouth..i looked into transfering the voucher into someone elses name,But havent done anything until yesterday..asking to extend the voucher. .only to be told that the “Groupon” voucher needs to be renewed within 1 month! Were it states this i have no idea..ive asked today. So im left with nothing… Ive searched the web and found another very very similar story…Was thinking of taking it to trading standards of sommat..s i see it as at the very least they say the voucher is valid for 12 months only for it to valid when the weather is dry/not windy/wert/ etc etc..and certainly not during thewinter..and in the summer only..so about 2 months then..
