Lawson, Inc. is a Japanese convenience store franchise chain. Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio-based store exists as a Japanese company today. A dairy owner opened a store in 1939 at his Broad Boulevard dairy plant in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, to sell milk. It became a chain of grocery stores, primarily in Ohio.
In 1959, Consolidated Foods bought out Lawson. The Lawson Company returned to the U.S. market when it established Lawson USA Hawaii, Inc. on July 7, 2012, with two stores in Honolulu opening. The Sheraton Waikiki store is located in the hotel, while the Moana store is at the hotel.
