J.C.penney is an American retail company involved in marketing clothing, home furnishing, jewelry, cosmetics, and cookware. It was created by James Cash Penny in 1902. More than 800 stores were operating in the early 21st century in the United States and Puerto Rico. In 1907 Penny changed his company’s partnership with Earl Corder Sams by paying up for the previous one. In 1917 company’s head office transferred to New York City and in 1929 J.C.Penney become a publicly traded corporation. 1962 first Penny catalog was issued and in 1968-69 it's foreign operation began. In 2006 company eclare a partnership with a cosmetic chain, Sephora, and in 2008 with Ralph Lauren. In the early 21st century company faces a decline in a sale which gets worsened during the lockdown and the company got bankrupt.
