Clark's Super Gas spawned Clark Brands and Clark Oil, both of which were founded in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in the early 20th century. On the junction of 60th and Greenfield Avenue in West Allis, Wisconsin, Emory T. Clark founded Clark Super Gas in 1932 as a single filling station that offered exclusively premium gasoline. Mechanical repairs and tire changes were not available at Clark service stations. For more than 90 years, Baltimore-based Crown Central LLC has promoted the Crown family of brands. After this deal, Crown Holdings, Inc. will retain a minority stake in Clark Brands LLC. Clark Brands, based in Naperville, IL, is the parent company of the Clark family of brands.
