Arby's is an American chain of fast-food sandwich restaurants with more than 3,300 outlets. The company ranks third in terms of revenue. Among the top sandwich chains in America (after Subway), Arby's was named the second most popular chain by Food & Wine in October 2017. Inspire Brands owns Arby's, a company that has been renamed Arby's Restaurant Group, Inc (ARG). As of February 5, 2018, ARG has taken over ownership of Buffalo Wild Wings.
The Arby's chain of fast-food restaurants was founded in 1964 in Boardman, Ohio, by Forrest Raffel(1922-2008) and Leroy Raffel, who owned a restaurant equipment company and saw a market for another type of fast food franchise.
