Shoppers World, which has taken over half of the area previously occupied by JCPenney, has posted "going out of business" signs on their doors as of this week. The bargain department store launched just in time for Thanksgiving in 2019, following the closure of JCPenney four months earlier and the closure of Sears at the end of last year. New York, New York-based Shoppers World is a retail chain of cheap department shops with its headquarters in New York. It has roughly 40 locations, most of which are in the eastern United States of America. The SW Group, controlled by the Dushey family, is in charge of its operation.
