Whataburger is a hamburger-focused American regional fast-food restaurant brand established and located in San Antonio, Texas. Harmon Dobson and Paul Burton formed the firm in 1950 and opened the first restaurant in Corpus Christi, Texas. Until 2019, the Dobsons controlled the business, which is currently operated by a private equity group with the Dobsons still owning a tiny part. There are about 670 shops in Texas and over 150 in New Mexico, Arizona, and the rest of the southern United States, with 126 of them being franchised. Burgers and fries, as well as chicken sandwiches, salads, and a brunch menu, are available 24 hours a day at the eateries. Approximately 600 of the eateries are owned by the corporation.
