Walmart Complaints Continued... (Page 34)
1684+ reviews added so far. Upset? Call Walmart corporate: 1-800-WALMARTOn July 2, 2011, I was visiting family in salisbury, MD. We had a couple of occasions to go to the Wal-Mart on North Salisbury Boulevard. On at least one of those times, I was another victim of the cash back scam that the cashiers(s) were perpertrating. Upon my return, I learned that I had an overdraft. I knew I had used the card only twice. I had the receipt for one place but, there was no receipt for wal-mart. almost a year later, I find out via e-mail, about this cashier scam at wal-mart as well as other retail stores. I am going to send a certified letter to the store manager and see if I can get some results (cash refund).
Tried to return something, evendently they do not stock it any longer. So I asked the girl to call the Manager, she did, and it was the same answer NO refund. The Manager was staring at me the whole time Kinda like don’t you understand. I understood everything she said then she said good bye. I left the store and called customer relations and explained my situation to the representive and she assured me I would get a follow up call. Within an hour I got a call from somebody (a man) who told me he got a message from the store manager that I was not to shop at this store any longer. I spend in excxess of $500 dollars each month a Walmart and this is the way they treated me.
I am a senior citizen on a fixed income, and have been shoping at this store since it has been open without any problems. Never have talked to this manager before. Now the corporate office is looking in to it. Its funny when I look at all the executives no one is responsible for the customer relations. Guess that tells me something. I lived 50 yrs without walmart and I guess I will live a little longer with out it again. My advise stay away.
I used to go to this Walmart store on FM-1960 (3450) every week. Now I go only for one or two food items that I know are lower than the other store. This store is so low on casher service that today I left a cart in line and walked out. Four cashers in the total store at noon. Two in their so-called fast check out line. And one could not take cash. She needed help. This has happened before–no cash for change. This Walmart store needs a shake up at the manager level. Their is very little help for these cashers in this store and it has to hurt sales and this manager is cutting back more in turn.
The Walmart store is a mess and the junk in the aisles is like you are in a Mexico food store. Shelfs are not kept up and are dirty. You can tell when this store has somone from the corpate office. More total cashers on the payroll in one day than all the rest of the week. People stocking and cleaning everywhere.
I’m hoping someone can help me with an incorrect billing error , I applied for a family mobile plan for just one line the Walmart service associate was great but could not activate my phone so I was sent to another store n they were on the phone for an hour and twenty minutes getting me activated. So after three weeks I had service problems, so I decided to switch to a straight talk service. I went to the Walmart store that activated my family mobile and they gave me the run around. They spoke to a Walmart manager and he understood my issue with the family mobile plan.
So they got on the phone and canceled my service with only a $25.92 activation fee and I was fine with that. But now i have a $75.26 bill because I was billed for a full month even after the Walmart service associate and the family mobile service associate canceled my service threw family mobile with no other charges other than a $25.92 fee I would accept.I’m not asking for any special treatment, I just want for the agreed upon $25.92 service fee charged to me that I had originally accepted and remove the month service charge of $48.34.
Went to Walmart in Milford Connecticut this afternoon. While checking out the girl at the register was upset that I had coupons. 2 of the coupons ($6.00 each) wouldn’t not go through even though I was purchasing the items in question. Asked to speak to the Walmart store manager, was only allowed to talk to the head cashier. Had too many coupons (12 total). Was told I couldn’t use this coupon because I had too many coupons. Mind you they were for other items. I told the girl, I used these same coupons each month (toiletries)and can’t understand why this month I couldn’t use them. All they said was I had too many coupons for Walmart.
Tire Blew out on I-64. Went to wal Mart for Warranty repair because i had originally purchased Road Hazard Insurance. Waited 10 minutes to be assisted because there was only one person in store at the tire center and she was busy making keys. After giving my keys to the attendant I waited another 30 minutes (While I watched only one car in the bay, four employees laughing and joking with each other in the bay area) for them to finally come over to me and proceed to tell me that they could not honor the warranty due to the tire being “ESSENTIALLY BALD.”
(The AAA mechanic had already told me that I had gotten good wear out of the tire as there was only about 6-7, 000 miles left on it when it blew out.) I then asked for a manager and waited another fifteen minutes for him to come to the tire center. They called twice and the girl at the tire center desk had to go get him to come to the tire center. (They had already announced over the phone that they were dealing with an irate customer.) When the manager came up to me he asked how I was doing and I said “Not so good.” I then explained all I have already stated and he merely said “We can’t honor your road hazard warranty.
I was furious and asked him if he really wanted me to take my business to Paynter tire store (A locally owned store I had already called and discovered I could purchase the tire cheaper there.) and he said “No, but that is your option.” With that said, I left the store and proceeded to telephone Wal Mart to lodge a formal complaint. As of yet I have heard nothing!
Well just let me tell u that i enjoy shopping at walmart i been to a lot of waltmart in the us and in mexico too and lamost in every one i have been treat the same but in exeption of one the one in sanluis az. in there, people treat u with disrespect and almost don’t want to help u if u have a question or have a concern also they don’t want to match prices from other stores u always have a hard time getting a walmart price match and when u finnaly get it they do it with bad attitude and plus i don’t undestand why there are so many cash registers if they only open two or three at the most they don’t mind if ther’s a lot of people in the line.
if u ask if they could open onother cash register they tell u to wait in line and don’t be wasting their time with those kind of questions. i have ask to speak to the walmart manager but until today they han’t reach the manager in this little town all u can here it’s people concern with the way walmart employees treat customers.
I purchased a 42 inch flat screen TV 2 years ago at Wal-mart and it has quit working already. The picture is black but the sound is still there. I am very mad that your product (42 Inch Flat Screen TV from Wal-mart) will only hold up for a period of two years. I would want you to stand behind your product. You can cotact me at oispy [at] valleytel.net
Do not buy the cheap residential lawn equipment handled by some retailers such as Lowe’s, Home Depot, Walmart, and K-mart. Instead go to a good lawn products supplier and pay the price for the commmercail grade equipment. Believe me it is worth the additional costs. At least these suppliers service what they sell and will replace defective equipment without the hassel of taking it back and forth to some retailers. The residential grade stuff is made to last only for a short period of time so you will have to make another new purchcase from them. Go to an independent dealer that has his or her reputation at state, the retailers could care less about you.
I am a handicapped U.S.veteran confined to a wheelchair with one leg missing. I recently moved into a new apartment and had to order several kitchen items on line. I have always shopped at Walmart because of your quality service and products. However when I received my new Sharp microwave I was very displeased because the clock only shows half the numbers and there is a dent in the side. I know this could have happened in shipping, but who knows. If you people can look up my order# you can see I did buy it from you. I am unable to return this item because of my situation.
Therefore I suppose I am stuck with item and will have to make due. My e-mail is shockley.geoffrey [at] yahoo.com if you care to respond. I suppose I will just have to find another store on line to shop from, because Walmart is the only store that sent me damaged goods.
I purchased a very expensive phone the first$45.00 card for unlimited everything would not go in where it was suppose to they called to put it in and it did not work. I spent more time at Walmart than at home. The card ran out so I got a $35.00 card which they could not get entered. When i left they told me the people at straight talk said something inside would not except the card so they told me too call them. When i did they told me to send it in i pay for shipping without getting it in return. Walmart bless their heart took over a week just to find the receipt.
Then i went back to pick the other receipt up since i knew the date of that one. I boxed it all up sent phone sales receits and it cost over to mail by post office $6.oo I had Insurance on the phone too. It all adds up to $198.00 my sisters and niece had something wrong and I could not go see her.
I bought a new battery for my car in November of 2010 for $86.oo. Since the battery is only four months old it should be trouble free. This battery will not hold a charge and is dead each morning but when I took it back to the Wal Mart store in Chillicothe, Missouri they tell me it checks out to be good. They told me they would not replace the battery. I bought another new battery because this battery will not perform like a battery that is in good condition.
Since we can’t use a battery that goes dead, we have junked the original one we bought. We know this battery is defective because a replacement performs perfectly. I can’t believe that a company like Wal Mart will not stand behind a defective product no matter what your tester says. I expect a reply from Wal Mart since I am one very upset customer.
The Walmart in Ville Platte, La. is very poorly managed. This store has continously went down hill over the past 2 years. I use to really enjoy shopping at the Ville Platte Walmart, but now it is so poorly managed that I dread going there. The shelves are never stocked and many common items are sold out. The isles are always full of empty stocking carts, but where is the stock. The staff has a very poor attitude. It seems as though they are their for the paycheck, to hell with the customers. They are not curtious what so every. Some are actually very rude. Such as the clerks that run the sporting goods department.
They are never onsite and if you ask for them more than once in 30 minutes then they have a real attitude. I am not a prejudce person, but most of the floor staff are black and they have an attitude that if your white, you should not be bothering them. Something needs to be done with this store. I remember when they first opened in Ville Platte. Everyone was so happy not to have to deal with A&P Grocerys because of the same type attitudes and lack of customer care. It was a pleasure to shop at Walmarts back then, but now it is really a hassle.
If things do not improve soon, I will look for other shopping options. I have talked to other friends who feel exactly like I do. WALMART needs to make a Management & Staff ajustment at this Store.
I am sure you get complaints for every possible angle so I will not expect miracles. My complaint is not with Walmart but one of your suppliers. Of course you have millions of suppliers and policing them is impossible. Lets make this an exercise in awareness. Video games are relatively expensive and are usually for mindless entertainment. I purchased the latest and greatest RPG called RIFT. This game is an MMO and sponsored by Trion corp. On the package the offer is a “30 day game subscription included for new accounts:” The cost of the game aty Walmart is $49.96 which is nothing to sneeze at. However if I can play a game for a month, my entertainment costs are acceptable.
Here is the dispicable corporate deception. I paid $50.00 for a product. When I logged on to activate an account in order to play the game I was informed that I had to give the corporation access to my financial account. I do not give my credit card information to unknown entities and hope they are legitimate. I not only paid $50.00 for a useless product but when I called Trion customer service they told me a credit card was mandatory in case I use the product for over 30 days. Of course we bantered back and forth as to why they insisted on finalcial access for an issue that hadn’t even occured and on top of the intiial game investment. I pointed out other MMO operations do not require mandatory financial access with a 30 day FREE subscription. The agent was not interested and could care less.
So now I have an expensive disappointment caused by deceptive corporate practice. The 30 day free subscription is anything but free. And once you buy the game you are stuck without recourse. I just wanted to let you know not all your vendors are legitimate.
Best Regards,
Edward Cambria
I work at the walmart in birmingham alabama #1711 store. I have been working there for 3years. I have no write ups. My assistant manager said i could buy a camera that was defective for 50 dollars. She told me she was gonna ask the store manager for his approval. She came back and told me she got the approval for it. So i bought the camera and she bought a computer. She rung me up on the register. The co manager and the loss prevention manager called me in the office and terminated me. All just because i bought a camera. The walmart store manager has bought things to and the loss prevention. The assistant is still working. And i loss my job on 3/28/2011. Can u please help me with this problem. This was my first time buying anything since i have been at walmart.
On the summer of 2010 me and my wife purchased four new tires from Walmart and with the purchase comes a free tire rotation every 10000ks. So when we had 10000ks on the new tires I made an appointment, and picked up the car which was longer …than I was told it would take. I then went on the highway to home and now there was a vibration at highway speeds. Which was not there before the tires were rotated and was not there with the old tires, which we drove across Canada with. I phoned Walmart when I got home and they said bring it back and they would balance the tires, they said they could have knocked off a wheel weight this could be true.
So my wife takes the car back and they balance the tires and tell us that we have a bent rim.So I said I would look at a solution to this in the winter as the summer tires will be coming off in a couple of months.Note Walmart was the only one to have these tires of the car, so when it was time to take the summer tires off I removed all the tires and found that three of the plastic centering rings in the rims were missing. I phoned Walmart and was told that “Quote that they have never seen anything like this or come across this. All after market rims and even factories rims sometimes have these.”
The Manager said they would pay for new ones if I wanted to find some, so being winter time I would wait till spring time. Well I found some for about $15.00 plus taxes, I went back today and talked to the manager and he said that they would only pay for a wheel balance and not for the rings, which walmart was the last one to have the summer tires of. Now being a auto mechanic myself from past experience I know what this can do if you leave out only one which fell out of a customers rim and I did not see it.
So if this manager is willing to part with a customer who will tell not only one person but many and will not step foot in this Walmart store or any Walmart stores then that his choice.
I am or was a customer of walmart until this morning. I am a vendor who stocks the shelves for my company. I wasgreeted by a Walmart employee he was straighting out the product on the shelves as we talked. As we passed each other i had mentioned that i was a wounded vet he told me that hi s son was in the Army and had done 4 tours. No sooner that he shook my hand to say thank you for your service. The boss went by and askede him to come over to where he was at and scolded him for taking a moment to say thank you. What kind of crap is that does he just watch for employee’s to stop to talk just to scold the employee’s.
No wonder walmart can’t keep employee’s i had my daughter fill out an application but i would never let my daughter work for a company that does not care about their employee’s. I know that this complaint will never be addressed but i hope that others will stand up and say just how they feel. The Super Walmart i am talking about is the one on 500 Hwy 90 Sierra Vista AZ. What a shame it doesn’t hurt you to let the employee’s talk to the customer every once in a while.
Wal-Mart – Richmond, KY. I did not intend to take time out of my busy evening today to sit down and write a letter complaining about the service, or rather the lack thereof, I received in your Richmond, Kentucky Wal-Mart store this evening. Generally, when I as a customer have the experience I have had at a store, I do not take the time to write or speak to anyone – I just do not return. Nevertheless, I am not so naive as to think that one person no longer shopping at your Wal-Mart location will make a difference. Additionally, I like Wal-Mart and hope that by writing to you that you will research this issue and take whatever action you see appropriate to ensure that no other customer that comes to your store in Richmond, Kentucky has to leave with such an experience.
I am a frequent Wal-Mart shopper despite the bad press and accusations your company receives for how poorly Wal-Mart allegedly treats their employees, because I understand that while a company has a responsibility to employees and the community, a corporation’s single fundamental function is to be profitable. This is acceptable to me and I have no complaint regarding Wal-Mart at a corporate level. In reality, I go as far to accept that Wal-Mart customers regularly enjoy the benefit of lower prices due to the business acumen of the leaders Wal-Mart employs.
My complaint is about a Wal-Mart employee that I have had the misfortune of dealing with at checkout four times including today. As often as my family and I visit your large store, you can imagine that it is not common for shoppers to remember an employee that checked them out only four times out of the many hundreds of checkouts we go through each year. My experience each time has been so dreadful that I remembered her when I saw her as I was entering your store after our first encounter. After this first encounter, I made it a point to go out of my way to avoid any checkout line operated by this employee – this worked well for a few visits. Then I realized that being a frequent customer in your store, I surely have the right to receive a pleasant experience when I come to Wal-Mart without having to go out of my way to dodge specific checkout lines each time.
The cashier at checkout is unpleasant and has not once greeted me while ringing up and bagging my items—no “hi,” no “hello,” no “how are you today”. In addition, a smile goes a long way but you will not find a smile on this cashier’s face. If you as a manager and Wal-Mart as a company choose to employee customer-facing people that are not talkative and cheerful, this is incomprehensible however I can accept this because I work in customer service and manage over 500 customer service representatives at an international IT services company.
In fact, most of the time I’d love to go through a checkout at Wal-Mart where the employee was not talkative but was something far more important to me (and undoubtedly to you and most of your customers); competent. Admittedly, I have never read the job description for a cashier at your company but I feel like I have a reasonably good idea of the main core competencies required to be a first-rate and effective cashier in a busy environment such as Wal-Mart. I am writing this letter because this cashier displays zero of these core competencies.
Below are specific issues with which I have taken offense and experienced each time:
• The cashier’s inability to operate the barcode scanner a lot of the time. This is fundamental. She tries and sure this counts for something but in the end, results are what actually matter. After trying unsuccessfully with the barcode scanner, she stumbles around holding items up to the light or frantically flips through a book of items to try to ring up the item all while customer, some more than others, patiently wait on her to catch up and get on with it.
• The cashier’s inability to operate at a steady pace. The pace at which she moves can only be described as at best sluggish and lethargic and at worst as lazy and apathetic. I have experienced this in my time as a people manager—people who have a one track mind and for some reason cannot or will not display any sense of urgency whatsoever. She makes customers wait while she empties change into her register from the packaging in which coins are stored. If she could do this and other simple tasks without bringing the entire line to a standstill, she would only be one step closer to improving but I am sure her customers would be appreciative.
• The cashier’s inability to bag items properly, specifically bread and eggs. Three out of four times, our bread has been bagged with numerous other items that proceed to compress and crush the bread. While it may seem insignificant to her, uncrushed bread is not an unreasonable request and I presume you do not want your family’s bread destroyed either. Furthermore, I was not purchasing bread the one out of four times bread wasn’t demolished.
• The cashier’s refusal to display basic customer service skills such as being friendly, smiling, and making sure you are not taking any more of your customer’s time than is absolutely necessary. Specifically, I make it a point to tell the cashier to have a nice day to which I do not even receive a response. I find this in every respect to be unacceptable.
In my experience, after attempting additional training, I am usually presented with a difficult choice to make; a choice I have to make for my customers, my company, and my colleagues. Nonetheless, I do what is best for our customers and company at the same time by making the tough decisions and carrying out whatever action must be taken immediately.
I sincerely hope you and your company does the same. I am not advocating that this employee be separated because she is not my employee and I do not know the entire situation. You may feel that the employee can improve with additional training however if you do not or this approach has already been attempted, I implore you to do what is right for your customers and the customer experience—whatever you determine that to be.
I believe this employee’s first name is Sharon but to be entirely honest, after having to take time away from my evening, it has slipped my mind. The reference number on my receipt is 108200204659. The TC# on the receipt is 9022 2283 4746 2724 0487. I checked out in the “20 item or less” (often considered the “express” register however this was certainly not the case) register nearest to the door on the grocery side of your Wal-Mart store at 7:59 PM ET on March 23, 2011. I hope this is enough information to identify this employee.
Ive been shopping at my local Walmart for 10 years now, It used to be a happy place to go.The workers seemed happy and always helped me.In the past year or so they have cut their department heads in half, The poor people left in those jobs have taken on extra departments or should I say forced to take more, so that means double the work with no pay raise and no associates to help them.If I need help with anything there is no one around to help, everyone is to busy. And that is not their fault. Shame on you walmart for not taking care of your workers. If Sam was still alive he would fire all you bigwigs for changing what he knew was important, your associates….
I’m encouraging everyone to call 1-800-walmart and tell them their sales would be better if they treated thier associates better.they are turning into the biggest company in the world that no one wants to work for. when customers speak Walmart listens…my local walmart is North Conway, New Hampshire.
Finally a family plan I can afford? think again because may be not. I consulted with sales rep at walmart store and the customer service over the phone several times before i decided to subscribe, i will need 4 lines total @ $120.00 a month, I specifically asked if i can retain my phone# the other 3 lines that will be added will be new #’s they all said no problem at all. I purchased everything I needed to start, read all the walmart family mobile reviews, activated my 1st line, canceled my old carrier, when i tried to activate the 2nd line the walmart rep. said sorry that i will have to purchase the 2nd line at full price that’s additional $20.00 making it $140.00 or give up my old phone# on the 1st phone for a new #. Buyer beware they draw you in and then the truth. i can not afford $20 more a month so I’ve decided to put adding my kids for now, you can imagine how disappointed they are.
My mother was checking out at the old store on Bowman Rd in Little Rock, AR located now on Shackleford Rd. My 89 year old mother said “Hi, girl” to the check out girl. The clerk yelled at her, told her to never call her girl again and continued yelling at her. My mother was very upset and embarrassed. She has always been polite to this girl and all WalMart employees. If the clerk did not like to be referred to as a girl, she could have told her in a nicer manner. My mother did not want me talk the manager about this. Hopefully, my mother will never shop at WalMart again. I know I won’t.
The Walmart I have been shopping at has made a practice of stealing from the customer at checkout. Walmart store Supercenter #3739, 5875 E Franklin Rd, Nampa, ID 83687 makes sure all items are not in the bag or a bag is set aside at checkout. I have noticed 5 times when I get home items are missing from my purchase. They have ripped me off for around a hundred dollars using this tactic. Such a practice is common thievery and Walmart should be held accountable. I have made a couple online complaints which were ignored!
It is no wonder Walmart claims to be able to sell products so cheap. In fact it appears they can resell products several times to several customers before the items finally leave the store.
I get asked for my receipt about half of the time I go to Walmart. Too bad I can’t play the race card. I would love to have that excuse to fall back on every time something happens to me that I don’t like. What excuses can I use when I get stopped? You have two choices: 1. Don’t shop at that Walmart store if you don’t like their rules. It will be hard to claim racism and discrimination when you voluntarily endure it time and time again. 2. Don’t stop when they ask you. I stop because it’s a simple request that takes a few seconds, but that doesn’t mean I’m forced to. If it bothers you that much, just keep going. It’s not like they’re going to tackle and cuff you in the parking lot. Refusing to show receipt is not reasonable suspicion of theft.
My daughter inadvertently over drafted from First Convenience Bank inside Walmart. Within 2 days, the OD charges had run up to $300+. We went down and took care of the charges, as well as closing the account. They tried to get her to leave the account open with a dollar in it. 5 days later, a $9.00 charge came in, which sent the already closed account into overdraft again? At this point, they sent to collections and are calling her 5+ times a day. I put some of the blame for how this bank is preying on people who are having difficulties, on Walmart, as Walmart must know of their business practices, and lets them prey on their customers. Start taking your complaints to the grocery stores who are hosting these banks.
Walmartstores.com (the online store) basically cheated me out of my purchases. I had downloaded dozens of Mp3’s several years ago which no longer play on my computer because Walmart changed something with the licensing. When I tried to email Walmart customer support, after taking ten minutes to fill out the required fields and describe my complaint, I got an error message saying that the transmission of my email failed. It really seems as though Walmart is trying their best to screw over their customers and hide from being held accountable. I will also tell everyone I know not to patronize their business, tweet my dissatisfaction to the world, and go on every blog and website I can find in order to diss them. They deserve it, the greedy corporate bastards.
Today is February 19, 2011 and I went to Walmart after work tonight to pick up a few things. I stood in the pharmacy’s line behind a customer and the clerk told me that she was not taking any more peoples, and I was furious mad because I was tired and she did not have any more customers after me. I left that area and went to get some money orders and found myself standing in a longer line with maybe fifteen other mad customers. There was no reason for the long line. Behind the counter were two managers, one of the manager’s name tag had Tiffany, and the man’s name was Leroy he was just useless in the area.
They was all helping one customer. I asked for a manager and Tiffany gave me 1-800-Walmart. I called that right away and I was directed to a location. My store experience tonight at the Harvey location in New Orleans was a bad experience. I have shopped at this location before and every time I go in this store the people does not smile or show if they care whether you come there to shop or not. I went there one morning to process a moneygram and the lady behind the counter was fifteen minutes late for work.
The time posted for opening had 7:00 am and she told me her boss had scheduled her to come in to work after the time of opening. I told her that did not make any sense to schedule a person to come in after the opening time. Just because Walmart have a store on every corner it does not justified poor customer service.
To start off I shop at Walmart a lot….usually I have no serious complaints…you get what you pay for. I bought a pair of “George” brand blue jeans for 25.00 which I thought was a good price…well I wore the jeans 3 days and they ripped horizontally and vertically in an “L” shape tear as I was walking…yes just walking….they were not tight at all and yet they tore like a piece of thin paper. Unfortunately I did not find the receipt which I understand is a problem. Since “George” brand clothing is carried by Walmart…in mass amounts I thought they might stand by their products…
I have only returned 2 things in 32 years of shopping there…the girl told me that because I had no receipt that I could have had the jeans for yrs….well you could tell that the jeans were new and I took offense to her attitude that I was lying….what ever happened to the customer being right?…I told her that if Walmart cannot stand by their products that I would take my business elsewhere and by her expression she could have cared less. Now is it Walmarts fault for hiring people that don’t give a @#@@ or their policy for not backing their product?
I work hard for my money and even 25.00 is money that I could have used to by something else. I even asked her if I could just exchange the jeans for another pair….no way…so now I take my 600.00 – 1,000.00 dollars I used to spend at walmart and shop elsewhere….this is all I can do to defend the principal of the situation. Maybe if other people would just take a stand policies could be changed for the better……x-walmart shopper.
When shopping at Walmart be sure to double check what you are being charged. When at the Walmart in Manassas, VA, several pairs of pants rang up at 17.00 instead of the 10.00 that was clearly stated on the sales ad right above the items. Of couse I questioned this. so the Customer service Rep that runs the clothing dept. Went and checked on the items in question and came back saying that they were indeed 17.00. The only excuse she could come up with was someone stocked them on the wrong shelf? There are to many other places to shop that respect the consumer. My advise is do not shop at Walmart if enough people say enough is enough Either Walmart will evolve or go out of business.
Are you kidding me? When they CHARGE me at Walmart, it appears on my credit card immediately. When they CREDIT me, this is the notice I receive: “A credit in the amount of $48.00 has been issued to the payment method you used for this purchase. If you paid by Credit or Debit Card: The credit should appear on your statement within two billing cycles.” Two billing cycles Walmart? REALLY! If you make any big purchases as walmart this holiday season, just don’t expect your money back anytime soon!
I don’t know what I was thinking going into Walmart the week before Christmas…craziness!! There was practically a line to GET IN the store. Walmart is normally packed at 4pm anyway, but yesterday it was a zoo! Anyway, I was looking for cotton balls…it was the last thing on my list. I was over in the medicine/health/beauty section looking for them…and looking….and looking…didn’t find them! They’ve totally re-arranged the health/beauty section…and I didn’t find cotton balls. Of course there wasn’t anyone I could ask and everyone around me was rushing to get to the next aisle like it was the final lap at NASCAR! Seriously, never again will I shop at Walmart anytime around Christmas. It’s a death wish.
Oh! and guess what? They totally removed the fabric/crafts section at walmart! I stopped a worker to ask them where it was (I’m making a new Christmas stocking) and she said they’ve all been removed! Wow. So sad that we don’t do craftsy stuff with fabric anymore to buy it at Walmart. They probably just couldn’t compare to Hobby Lobby or Michael’s. Ouch, Walmart.
Walmart’s batteries do not say re-manufactured on them and they don’t tell you they are. Their prices are lower and their warranty is provided by Walmart not a manufacturer. That much I did get from the tech. As it stands at this point I was treated badly by their people and if I was told right, they are ripping people off on those batteries. Walmart needs to be held accountable for not labeling the batteries properly. Re-manufactured or reconditioned will not last as long and should not be sold as new. As bad as the company and their people are I would rather pay twice as much to be treated like a person instead of a bad dog. I treat my dogs better than they treated me.
I”m a very busy person like most of us in today’s mainstream business world, so with out my phone im a sitting duck and will cost me money with every call missed! So I move fast to my local walmart where my phone is from, in a panic i go back to electronics where i can get my new phone, of course all the cell phones are locked up and i need assistance. There’s a female associate there and when i ask her for help she tells me shes on a break but she will get some one to help me, which she does and gets back on her cell phone with her personal call on the sales floor! After an hour waiting at walmart I was done and ready for somebody who ACTUALLY CARED to help me fix my cell phone.
I opened a checking account at Suntrust (in Summerfield Walmart) in May 2010 because of these same problems caused by my previous bank. On September 30, 2010 I received a letter containing my “new Mastercard Check Card”, replacing the Visa Check Card I had received when I opened the account. It has taken me over four months to clear up the mess my previous bank had left me in, and I had just gotten all my bills set up to be charged to my Suntrust Visa check card, and had breathed a sigh of relief.
Now I am again faced with the same nightmare – notifying all my creditors to change my card number! Several of them do not even send me a statement, and I have no idea of their address, phone number, or email address! Because of this, I cannot have Suntrust send them a payment check (as Suntrust requires an address to send payments), and have elected to use my debit card to pay these people.
They allowed someone to gain access to my visa money card without having ALL the appropriate secured information as detailed in all the written material available when you purchase (receipt, package, visa card, cardholder agreement web page). All customer service reps read from the same script like a broken record. Forget talking to them as they do not listen and its always your fault regardless! Walmart stand up and take responsibility for your actions! Act like a #1 Retailer should – I know that you will never ever get any more business from me or my family.
The Walmart 24 hour supermarket in Naples, Florida is run by total morons. Let me tell you how bad it’s managed, you’ll never see a manager. As for the help they hire, all Hispanics. The problem with hiring all Hispanics is that they have attitude. They think they are better than white people. Furthermore they hire whole families, cousins, nephews and neighbors so that it’s one giant click of Hispanic employees. Without a mix of White employees there’s no way Walmart will continue to thrive as a company. There needs to be employees who have education and experience running these stores.
Even if they pay next to nothing which is probably the case, they must stop hiring all Hispanic workers. Wake up Walmart, I’d rather pay extra to shop at Publix than put up with these horrible employees.
