How the Hate Index Works

  1. What moves it: real buyer signals, like critical reviews, price increases, bills and votes for alternatives.
  2. Where signals come from: reviews written here, public posts on social media and bills buyers share with us anonymously.
  3. How shares are set: recent signals count most, so the board moves when buyers do.
  4. What the % means: each company's share of the hate among the top 10. It's a live reading, not a forecast.
  5. Checked first: a person reviews every signal before it counts. Spam, duplicates and unclear posts are left out.
  6. The watchlist: companies just outside the top 10. They move up on their own as new signals land.
  7. No pay-to-rank: nobody bets money, and no company can pay to move up, down or off the board.
  8. Always updating: we look for new signals every day, and this page refreshes on its own.
  9. Who it's for: buyers heading into a renewal who want to know if others are leaving too.
  10. See something wrong? Tell us and we'll check it. Read the full Methodology.
